Might as well just assume everything is fake until proven original?
Might as well just assume everything is fake until proven original?
It's like "guilty" until proven "innocent" but clearly, there is no reason for a collector to consider otherwise or locate a definitive resource that can be called upon to un-question the questionable.
Is there any other way?

Again, where are the mods? This thread needs to be cleaned up if it is going to be a useful resource. Too many fakes that aren't being picked up/commented on.

Found 2 German pins in my attic, one is HJ ...
Hi! This is my first post on this forum. I purchased a home almost exactly 1 year ago. The home is about 15 years old. This spring we noticed some scratching in the ceiling,so I climbed into the attic to deal with the mouse problem. After a few trips up, I started noticing things like Christmas ornaments and other trinkets laying in the insulation. Being the treasure hunter I am,I made a special trip up just to look through the insulation. In the process I found the first pin. What I found to be an HJ proficiency medal after some research. The next day I found the second pin, which I believe to be a general assault medal? Not sure on either though. I am hoping to sell these pieces,as I have other non related collections and I feel someone else could appreciate these pieces of history more than me. I am just trying to get connected with some collectors who may be interested. Or anyone who knows a good place to meet potential buyers. Either way, I am ecstatic to have found these treasures and am proud to show them off!Hopefully I uploaded the pics correctly lol. I hope you all enjoy, and thanks for any info anyone can give.Code:PHP Code:
