This is a very little photographed tinnie. I've only seen 3 photos in total with folks wearing the Gau Munich. Needless to say, none were wearing the Blood Order.

That being said, if someone had the BO, I don't see why they would want to wear the Gau Munich. In addition, I wonder if it was 'legal' to wear the GM award.

        Silver Munich Badge

I did a search on these Badges and to my Surprise, I found a Silver one that was in a LDO Case. I was shocked having never seen one of those. The guy wanted $1100.00 for it also. Thanks, Carlton

I am in the possession of a Silver one. I bought it this year in La Gleize and the dealer said both were coming from one man. Both are 100 % Original and in the "normal" style. I will scan them and post them. Perhaps somebody has some more information about the silver one.

I would be very interested in seeing the silver ones. The one found on the web in the LDO box is suspect--at least being presented for sale in the box. These München badges would never have been available through the LDO.

Erich, the conection between the Blood Order and Gau Munich Badge is obvious for me: same commemoration, same moto, and mainly same recipients, though there are not references to this badge specifically in the documentation of Blood Order. Angolia, Littlejohn and a lot of researchers think like me, if you read their boods.
On the other hand, have you got any period pics to be posted here showing this badge in use with the Blood Order, both?
              Thank you.

              Hello Gregorio,
Sorry, I never responded to your post. The photos I have of the badge in wear show it worn without a Blood Order--even up to ca. 1935. There were many commemorative pieces produced, especially table medals, with the same slogan 'Und Ihr habt doch gesiegt' that related to the failed Putsch and the 1933 Machtübernahme rather than to the Blood Order itself.
I haven't been able to find period references to the GM badge that would indicate a connection to the later BO. I would welcome additional documentation, though!

I have a gau munich with a silver finish. I'll try to post photos. I've seen seen a maybe 2 others over the years. And these are not solid siver but silver finish.

Jamie Cross had an interesting version of the badge on his site with a solid back and in a gold finish. It looked as if it was altered by the Party member to be a true award.

I wanted to add that I have seen the silver versions but only the bronze ones shown in wear in photos and in reference books.
