Here's the back ...it's Serial # 36,000 which belonged to Dr Ernst Boepple ,this badge was easy to research because of his position in the General Gov and from the Nuremberg Trials

I circled the 12 o'clock position of the wreath as a marker ...follow the line to the right and you can see how it follows no set pattern ..it will sometimes border the edge or end of a leaf or 2, then go under the next leaf ..

does anyone know how the enamel disc got attached to the badge? Is it just glued on? Cheers, Torsten.

No, it was soldered into place. The hole on the backside was for ventilate the gas and heat during that proces.
