i's indeed enemelled. the back has been rusted for a part. I can remove that , because I own a sand-blast machine (or how you call that in English), that can remove rust save and very nice.

Do you think it would be smart to do so? I myself didn't mind about the rust.

What would the value of this sign , in his absolute excellent condition be ?
You din;t see them that often in this condition.

I have seen more than one of these for sale on online auctions in the past few weeks by different sellers...actually I noticed two at the same time...one was this one in good condition and then another in damaged condition...how come there are two signs, which are exactly the same type on offer at the same time??...I saw them maybe two weeks ago..??>..and I could kick myself now that I did not save links to them to represent here and now... You're indeed right. I believe it's just accidental.

It happens with a lot of things. I have seen the same with things as:

-German horse gasmasks
- MG13 Mag pouches.(for 8 pieces)


You don't see them in a long time, and suddenly you see several. After that you don't see them again for a long time.

Perhaps someone found a lot of them at the same place. Who knows......

I too have seen that sign quite a few times for sale, usually damaged .I was wondering wether some clever guy was knocking them up and releasing them onto the market slowly ,its just a theory and I am not saying yours isnt genuine .Rob.

Indeed that's also a possibility. I haven't got him yet, so I can't tell yet for 100% ,that this one is original. I do know the seller very well.

It sure is heavy. (with a wooden box ; 20 Kilo) Atleast it's a good replica. hahahaha
