    Golden badge & RPT 1929

I bought these awards which came together about a year ago out of Austria and as I have time on my hands at the moment I thought I would show.Couple of questions,i have looked at a few threads on the RPT badge and there does appear to be a number of differences on the nurnberg word lettering for these badges.Do you think this one was issued for the 1929 party or is it a later re-issue? .Also I assume the GPB number is not known to whom it belonged too.

    Thanks Andy

Yours is a nice maker marked, hollow back version sold at the rally. RZM versions were produced after 1936.

    This thread should help.

Very nice grouping by the way.

      Hi Andy,

Thanks for submitting photos of these pieces. From what I can tell from these pix, the GPBs appear to be an original Deschler matched set, though photos taken head-on would be easier to judge. I'm sorry to say that NSDAP Membership Number 51817 is not presented identified on my list.

              Hi Andy,

And yes, there are professional researchers among us that you could approach to find out who the original recipient of this fine pair of GPBs was -- here are their websites:

              http://www.militariaresearch.com

              http://www.westmorelandresearch.org

              http://www.ssdaggers.com

There is a fee for the services of each researcher, of course, but you always have the option of either saying "yes" or "no," and having the results increases the value and the interest in your artifacts. Best of luck with your search, and do let us know what you find out! Cheers,

              Br. James
