    Again the gold gilted versions are more rare than silver washed
    And size matters with these rzm birds

    I would never claim to be an expert on these things but I will say that in my humble opinion you and Jan are 100% correct. Thanks for posting your example of the smallest of the three M3/100 Nuremberg desk eagles, it seems to match the other known original examples.

        Here is an example of a small size gold finished NB eagle with a similar RZM stamped marking to Mil's medium size eagle. I notice that some versions had a stamped marking and some had the protruding marking- and some had no marking at all,
