      By the look of the beak ,this is the toucan fake ….
      If the pic was straight on it would be huge .
      also the dotting to the rear will be incomplete at one point..

        Note the diameter of the ring … James Clarke's has the correct size … the Toucan fake has a larger ring.

          Yes Ian on reflection the ring is different.
          However back to the case .Yes they do seem to be the same . That dosent meen a lot ,other than there were a few of these put into these cases,,When and why ..
          Period produced as a replacement to the plain card type yes possibly from an outlet that made cases ,,why not.
          Not original to the award for sure .No references anywhere (as of yet) these things can change of course this is the beauty of this hoby.
          Also why would you go to the trouble to produce a case that doesn't fit the ribbon ????? not very good is it.
          as for the award from James, I would like to see the award front and rear straight on if at all possible as from that picture it doesn't look very good .
          The stipple under the enamel looks all over the place , it all seems to go in one direction ..And that beak.
