Sorry but I don’t like it. The sculpting of the eagle is incorrect. Good detail does not mean original. I will stick to textbook pieces.

Please do tell us what is "textbook"? is there a 3rd reich era published book on these types of eagles?

I just love it when experts speakin riddles and vagueness,

I think it is one of those copies ordered by and made for germaniainternational. You can still find a picture on the webside. In this case it is even said, that they are copies.

            Here are 2 known examples....
            that have been proven.
            One lookers
            Nothing to even talk about.
Compare these 2 to the ones in question
            It’s easy
And for the guy that left the snide remark to ‘Mil’ about his opinion.....
The reason we say they are fakes, is because we know about them.
            We do our homework.
And as a collector, you would be wise to do the same

Thank you, STLMatt for posting both photos of the nuremberg styled desk eagle, which came in two sizes. The first pic which Matt posted is a larger piece which had a smooth and feathered back variant. The second piece is a much smaller version often on a single tier base. Both are textbook or classic examples.

Thanks for posting the pictures. They definitely answered my question.

The flat-back version was just sold at an auction yesterday for 2150euros not including taxes, commission and postage.

                      Yep
I was bidding up until about 1150€
The 17.5% plus shipping was a deal breaker for me

I see no mention of it in any of the above links, but would imagine that the majority of these eagles were cast in Spelter.

Prices have gone up considerably in recent years. 2150 + 17.5% = 2526euros or US$2840 (not including shipping and credit card and shipping taxes). That's a US$3k piece. Congrats to buyer!

Some of the Heer table medals were made of spelter.
It’s considerably softer and more fragile than these HB, and RZM variant birds were discussing.
I’ll post a picture of my Heer table eagle that is made of spelter, and silver washed
