This style of Eagle is seen on the all of the silver service pieces taken from Castle Klassheim

Thanks for sharing Ed. Interesting. AH used to have meetings and entertain guests at Klessheim. It's only 30 minutes driving distance from the Berghof.

That's right, Mike -- Schloss Klessheim was convenient to the Berghof and to the Reichschancellery offices at Bischofswiesen outside of Berchtesgaden...but NOT TOO CLOSE!

I didn't know if that was Ed's collection or pictures he acquired. Lucky Ed if they are his...it is a fabulous collection and it is great to know where these pieces are from.

and as for this piece from one of Ed's pictures....toothpick holder? I just measured a toothpick and it's 2 1/2" in length.
