    Hello Lukas,
unfortunately the last one is no original from sandstone, but one of the known fakes which have flooded the market in Germany for a few years. It is not sandstone but some kind of plaster material.
    Best regards, Thomas

Hello Thomas, you are wrong. This is sandstone and not any kind of plaster. It weights almost 10 kg. Also i have this eagle decades. Plus i have never seen another one like this. So please post pictures of fake you mentioned.

      Best, Lukas.

        Hello Lukas,
of course I cannot completely exclude, that Your eagle is an original, but as I said, eagles quite like this one are currently flooding the German market. You can find them offered all over the place. The one from the attached pictures was recently discussed in a German forum. It is made of a composite material which looks like sandstone, but it is not. All agreed it is a modern fake.
Besides this IMO the eagle itself, esspecially the beak, looks odd. I doubt that an eagle like this would hang at a prominent place. But I might be wrong. Who knows?
        Best regards, Thomas

I suspect it is a plaster cast type of repro. Not good.

Very nice wall eagle, James. With very clear foundry markings too.
