Mil, you can sure make a fellow political collector jealous! That 1927 RPT is a zinger. Is, by chance, the one with the red/white/black rosette from one of the earlier Deutscher Tag events? Keep me in mind in your will.

      Hi Richard,

Yes I was going to say that the eagle with the red, white and black rosette might have something to do with the early Deutscher Tag events. We cant be sure but it does seem fairly likely with an early stylised eagle.

I guess that I like them all, but early patterns are special in any form....

Another great one that I've never seen before, Ron! Though not particularly "early," I love the use of the target as a symbol for an NSDAP Shooting Club!

Wow, this thread for early eagles is going on strong!

Ron, that early shooting pin is neat! Never seem before! Planet.. an amazing eagle. Does it have any mounting holes or marking on the reverse?

Thanks. Yes, it has three mounting holes and in hand You can see, that is was mounted on stone or something (traces of plaster or concret). Looks like it has the size of the monument eagle on the other picture. Would look too small for indoor hanging IMO.
No maker marks. Too early for an RZM mark.

Here is pretty nice full bronze unfinished heavy eagle. Obviously they had moisture in form and when put inside heated metal it exploded and made few holes around the swastika. Eagle with some character.

                              Very nice eagle, Luko!

Thanks for posting. Do you have a straight front shot of it? It looks very impressive!

Hello Mil, thanks. I am collecting eagles years and this full bronze is the second largest i ever took. Sorry, i do not have better pictures.

Nevermind, i will show you some other - nice WH eagle made from sandstone. This one was discovered years ago in former WH barracks in Belgien. Nicely done.

So guys, let's see some others! It's spring's time - time to air out your eagles.

                                Best, Lukas.
