While I believe it's been established that a number of these November 9th, 1933 Munich Festival Badges were produced without any maker's mark on the reverse, I am wary of these pieces without the Deschler mark. It's probably just me...

What about the variation with the "two-stroke" stamp? No one knows who produced them either. And strange that the Deschler ones have a Q mark on it.

Has it been established yet as to whether this is just an "ordinary" tinnie and not something special, or vice versa.

In a post by Laurens in an old thread, he says that a publication by Völkischer Beobachter is that this badge just celebrates the event (celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Putsch); where it is as a Festabzeichen (Festival Badge).

I'm not sure what you're referring to as the ""two-stroke" stamp?" Was it part of the earlier discussion that you've provided a link to?

In response to Pete's question, I think this is indeed an ordinary tinnie, though it celebrated quite a high-ranking commemoration in the life of the Munich NSDAP -- the tenth anniversary of the Putsch.

Personally I would only go for the Munchen 9 version.

Thanks very much, Mil -- and now that I see it, I do recall the photo of those badges in wear. I was not aware of the differences you illustrate in your latest note -- the example in my collection for some decades is the Deschler without the "9".

Hi James,

I believe that yours would have a "Q" (sometimes partially shown) for Deschler U Sohn variants; on the reverse of the swastika.
