2 Hitler Youth HJ Gold Honor Badges for Review

    Any help is much appreciated!

The marked one Im confident is fine, but its the unmarked one that Im unsure of. It has all of the characteristics that the marked one has, except for the marks / back plate is a bit different. BUT the enamel is virtually perfect in every way.

As for the marked one, I know theres debate to the M1/70 examples since there havent been many if any to turn up with the matching docs, but no one can disprove them. Ive been from Warrelics to HJ research forum to WAF looking it up. As it stands right now, until there is any evidence proving otherwise, M1/70s are accepted as originals (as stated even here on WAF). If theres any new or additional info on the subject of M1/70s please let me know. But still, also would like to know if its good or not .

    Thanks in advance!

Both fake. I have already examined a few of both of these fakes under magnification, so your "no one can disprove them" is incorrect, i can.
(And so could you or anyone else if they wanted to.)

Can you post a link or links please? Because I spent a few hours researching these and couldnt find anything to the contrary on the marked one.

Or an explanation that would help as a reference for people looking these up in the future. There are no pages across 3 forums that I could find about the numbered one being fake / no pages at all discussing the blank one. Explanation would be more helpful than just saying its fake with no info.

I think it would be good to have a breakdown of why if thats the case, thanks.

Yes i certainly can explain. WAF, however, is not the place for this, You Tube is. That way i can slap facts around heads like wet fish, put the Ghosts to bed once and forall and have google show the You Tube video at the top of a "M1/70 HJ Ehrenzeichen" search, and not hidden away on WAF.

In the meantime, you could ask Wim Van Gossum, as i said - and will say again - he just wrote a comprehensive article for a collectors magazine on the HJ Ehrenzeichen.

              Hi,

Send me a pm with your e-mail adress and I send you the article about HJ Ehrenzeichen for free in a pdf-file.

Like Jo said, both are fake. Unmarked HJ Ehrenzeichen are a big red flag and the case of the M1/70 I followed for many years (even have such a bugger in my drawer). Jo Rivett examined them, there are no examples found with a bezitsurkunde and it's the only maker that is strictly numbered from 8000 to 99999. Reasons enough to draw negative conclusions...

I rather would prefer that people buy and/or subscribe to my magazine, but I have learned over the years that spending money on fakes is far more fun than education! And is also more expensive! All in all a far better package for amusement!

One 9 too many Wim, only to 9639 so far. Here are some i have from these fakes.

                  8693
                  8696
                  8809
                  8828
                  8839
                  8966
                  9030
                  9032
                  9036
                  9037
                  9038
                  9214
                  9215
                  9291
                  9340
                  9424
                  9513
                  9527
                  9540
                  9601
                  9639
                  9687

I also know who created the fake M1/70 badges, the same forger who created the enamel center piece for the fake black TeNo Award. Note the broke back mountain number 4. Both dies were also created the same, modern robot cut.

edit: I just had to update this post with an additional ten numbers after doing a simple search on this forum, by typing in: M1/70.

Seems the SOS is the shifting ground for these... or was.

Found another to add, offered today on Weitze`s web site.
........about Weitze - when it comes to small badges in general, they have no idea at all what they are doing. They list fake after fake, year-in, year-out, as the following pathetic modern fake HJ Ehrenzeichen listed by them shows. (LINK)
