Thank you Matt. As you can see, I have no idea...

Sorry I didn't have on my psychic cap.

Erhard Huber is listed in the Patzwall book's Official Proposal List VIII of 27 June 1939. There is a Karl Huber that Patzwall has confirmed with the award of Blood Order 1992. Erhard is listed as from Gantsbach b. Dt. Griffen in Kärnten but provides no BO number. That is a problem with identifying Second Generation Blood Orders. I trust there is some additional documentation provided that identifies Erhard Huber as having received BO 1989 as you write. Sometimes the association can be found on a NSDAP party file record card or perhaps in correspondence with the Party Treasury.

I have a second issue BO that came with an award document in the red leatherette folder. The auction house sold the BO and document as being from the same person. But there was no evidence that that was the case. I had to research the bloke and found his party card stamped with his BO number. He was listed on the August 1939 proposal list in Patzwall's book.

Thank you very much for the information. I appreciate the time taken to pass it on to me. As far as the evidence that the numbered BO was the one awarded to him - I have no additional information that proves this. I am taking Steve Wolfe at his word. I will ask for more info, if he has any, and get back to you.

Ted, just get one of the pro guys to pull Hubers files and there should hopefully be a ton there plus something that ties name to number. I've known this group for prob 10 years and I'm pretty sure it all belongs together so don't sweat. Well done!

                    Hello,

Is the entire collection belonging to the same man? Amazing.

                    Regards,
                    Klaas

Ted, of course Jon is correct. Hermann Historica, from whom I bought my BO years ago, auctioned it off as a grouping with the Urkune and a number of other named documents to the SS-Police officer Dobek. But like I wrote, there was no connection of name and BO number. Back then you arranged your own research with the National Archives. But now there are pros like Jon mentions who know where to go to find the info. Here is one name I have used: Mike Constandy (mjc@westmorelandresearch.org).

Agree--beautiful set! I've had the most success with Mike Constandy in researching the files of BO holders. Sometimes, when you're lucky, the files provide a good amount of additional information.

A truly beautiful set you have there, congrats.

I'm still waiting for the day that Wolf and Hardin have an On-line shop

                            Not likely that will happen.
