    Hitler uniform

Been meaning to ask you guys for awhile about the Hitler uniform group GG had at the last SOS. What do you guys think about the group was it the real deal or another story? If you guys have already had this talk sorry to bring it back up. It's just been on my mind since the show. My questions are can anyone back up his claims on provanonce? Has anyone known this group was out there before he brought it to the show? Let's hear your over all opinion of the group. This should be the top of the food chain in are hobby. So if it's the real deal I would like to know it. Thanks guys.

To me, that tunic is not at the top of the food chain and even if I could afford it would never buy it, if it was given to me I would sell it. I much prefer collecting uniforms of regular soldiers. I saw it at the show from about 100 feet away walking the rows and the little circus surrounding it and did not think about it again. To me there were much more interesting things to see at the SOS than that.

I agree I would spend my money in other places to. But you have to admit he was the top dog in the chain. And if the group is original it's one hell of a uniform group. I would like to hear some proof that it is what it is said to be. Is it possible to know if it was the real deal that's what I'm waiting to hear.

All I consider Hitler is "top A-hole".

The tunic is part of a large grouping that was "captured" by a US Officer during the War and is well documented. They were stolen in the late 1960s and ended up in an NY auction and then after a lawsuit he recovered money from the sale. You can see the items and some of the history here-

I would say the items are consigned to Gottlieb to sell via Wolfe/Hardin.

Most likely an attempt to promote him (Gottlieb) as somebody important in the Hobby.

Craig Gottlieb owns the Hitler group.

I would live to own that group. Without him, you would be collecting Weimar period uniforms hoping to find one with WWI medal loops.

Is there someone know how much is priced the whole group? Just curious! These kinde of stuff should be close in a museum IMO, there could be much interests in the visitors!

The projected estimated price made by everyone's favorite "expert" to sell "Hitler's personal copy of Mein Kampf" fell on its face so I doubt more items will be for sale for awhile lol.

I am waiting for Hitler's moonshine still to show up on a website.
