    Beer hall putch

Can someone point me in the direction of a book about the above or if someone can tell me what the SA Augsburg battalion "theodor Korner "s role was in the event. I have a blood order to a member of the above and wondered about his role?

I think this could be a start

              http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beer_Hall_Putsch

Gordon, Harold J., Jr. (1972) Hitler and the Beer Hall Putsch. Princeton, NJ: Princeton University Press, 1972

Dornberg, John (1982). Munich 1923: The Story of Hitler's First Grab for Power. New York: Harper & Row.

The Gordon book is the best and is an academic study of the event.

Thanks guys I will see if I can get hold of the books, the BO has been seen on here - it's number 1001 to Rudolf Hennig , I have had the research done on him and was lucky to come up with 3pictures of him in the files, I will take some pictures when it stops raining and get them posted.

Extremely impressive background to this BO, Nick! Do you know if Rudolf Hennig was a Party Member and, if so, what his number was?

                        Cheers,

                        Br. James

Thanks for providing the member's pages from this Pg's NSDAP Membership Book. Very interesting...he was a local boy from Munich, and early on he went to work at the Brown House, for the RZM. One wonders why it took him so long to join or re-join the Party after his participation in the Putsch, given his close association with the major players? He should have been entitled to the GPB as well as the BO!
