I have a very large cast iron Hitler profile done by Breker and the signature on the piece is as follows:

"A Breker" written out in script.

I have not seen a logo like on your plaque by Breker before.

        Hi Erich !
I have also owned a couple of Breker pieces with his full last name,
but I thought this could be his signature aswell.
Here is the actuall plaque, bronze, 5,3kg and with a size of 36x43,5cm so it's a big heavy piece. Got it out of Germany this week.
C.Gottlieb sold one just like this but with a different foundry a couple of years ago.
Any other suggestions who this artist could be ?
        Cheers, Hakan

                Hi Hakan,

I too have a cast iron piece signed "A. Breker;" it is a relief roundel which he made in 1955. Breker used a wide variety of signatures and monograms on his various works throughout his long career. In "Arno Breker: His Art and Life" by John Zavrel (published in 1985 by West-Art in the USA), we see a wide variety of his statues, drawings and sketches, and he used several different monogram-styles of his signature as forming of the letters "AB." From that I would say that your piece is indeed by Arno Breker. Hope this is helpful.

This profile/ plaque is not a Breker.

That small plaque (die Vorausetzung) is not by Breker, but by Heinrich Mosage (HM).

                          best regards,
                          Gaston

Yes, I know the small one is a Mosage, but thanks for clearing that out.
                            Cheers, Hakan

I agree, Gaston: the monogram on the small plaque bears different initials from the large piece.
