    Here's the Breker signature from my plaque.

      Thanks for posting that pic Erich.
      The August Engel firm who did this piece was founded in 1892 but the Engel name
      Goes way back in the begining of the 1800's in this industry in the town Velbert.

      Got a few more pics in daylight today, so here goes......

                The logo looks like it's for the August Engel company--backwards lower case 'e' and capital 'B'.

                  The only logo I could find for August Engel on the net is this one.
                  I do believe it's AB for some artist but you never know, have you seen this mark before ?

                    No, I've not seen it before--I was just looking at the logo/monogram to see what it might be. It could be ALB, eB, ACB, eCB, for example.
