Some of you have already seen these but a while back I acquired a quantity (nearly 100!) of original SA recruitment flyers, circa 1930.
Using my schoolboy German, I've had a stab at translating:
"Comrade! I have already seen you at our public meetings and with the march of the local SA, you marched also. Why don't you stand in the SA? Why don't you fight beside me? This fight, which the NSDAP fights, concerns both of our interests. Therefore you also belong by my side. Why do you hesitate still? See, already lies the point of the brown freedom army in the fire. Do you want to wait until it is gunned down and bloody? Then it will be too late! Therefore comrade, give me your hand. visit our comradeship evenings and see, what happens there, become acquainted with us! Give us your signature on this sheet of paper and you will take a step nearer. Your SA Comrade."
Interesting piece of paper, IMHO, and not something I've seen before. Any other SA flyers out there?
Best,
Toby.
