It is"Sektion VII / Abteilung VII". which means Section 7. This section/department in the Reichspropagandaministerium was responsable for the following subjects:

Ausland: Abwehr der politischen Lügen im In- und Ausland, Aufklärung, Förderung der Beziehungen zum Ausland.

Hi,

I think, that Demann served in the department "Staatssekretär I", national and international press, headed at that time by "State Secretary I" Walter Funk.
Funk was between 1933 and 1938 "State Secretary (Staatssekretär) at the Ministry of Public Enlightenment and Propaganda", before he became Minister.

Thanks for looking Gerdan and Uwe

I have searched on the internet and it seems he served under Funk
in section V11.

It would be great to find more information about Demann and a picture
but there doesnt appear to be any.

I will post the other picture i have of The Propaganda minister,Funk and guests
I assume Demann is one of these men but which?

On the left is Staatssekretär Karl Hanke (as SS-Oberführer), the later Gauleiter in Breslau. His biography you can find in my book "Die Generale der Waffen-SS und der Polizei" volume 2.
In the middle we can see Franz Xaver Hasenöhrl (with swastika bandage), leader of the Abteilung VII in Reichsministerium für Volksaufklärung und Propaganda. His biography is in my book "Die Militärverwaltungsbeamten der Deutschen Wehrmacht im Generalsrang".
