Mentioning you offered me copies of documents is not particularly relevant but the offer was most welcome and I thanked you for that although we were poles apart on the monetary value of such documents.

I have not set out to make any point, you posed all the questions and I've answered them as best I can. Stretching this out further will likely result in repeating what's been said already so in answer to your question, no point.

great discussion. I too like to see documentation esp. on expensive pieces which is why I can't wait for something to surface on the so called ss cask.

I also would like to see the period documentation of the tapestry in the DHW booklet. Can we see that so we all know what the discussion rests upon?

I know at least three titles that were published in SS-Oberabschnitt-West:

-Die Gestaltung der Feste im Jahres und Lebenslauf in die SS Familie.

-Die Ordensgesetze der SS

-Erläuterungen des Ordensgesetze der SS.

All were written by Fritz Weitzel.

Hi,

The first one is obvious.It is the well known book on celebrations within the SS family.There are some examples shown on the forum and there are translations available on the world wibe web.Just use google.....

The second is one of the interesting titles too.It mentions the laws of the SS order, rules that every SS-man should follow.
There are the following orders:

31.dec 1931: the marriage law

9.Nov 1935: the law of honour-the right to defend himself with a weapon

13.Sept 1936 : Lebensbornheim. SS family homes.

9.Nov. 1936 : law about the personal property and theft.

9.Nov. 1937 : the SS bank saving law

9.Nov 1937 : law for the help for widows and orphans.


The last title is a explanation about the laws,and their means and purpose.
