      Freiburg im Breisgau and Nördlingen:

The chosen views and motifs gives us a good hint how conservative the cultural agenda of the SS really was - this is were they draw their conclusions from when planning new buildings representing typical regional style combined with high expectations in regards to rely mainly handmade details when realizing and decorating these buildings in- and outside.

An agenda which was so successfully carried out and distinctive that politicians and historians in Germany of today cannot help but trying to neglegting that essential fact - by voting to tear the relics down, sometimes at any cultural price.

That's the smallest picture of a big closet I've ever seen.

                    That´s true.

And it is the biggest closet of TR history that I´ve ever seen.

A little piece of trivia, the little plate, the peasant uprising in the 'Battle of Hemmingstedt' was the subject of a book by Obersturmführer der Waffen-SS Henrik Herse, also writer of 'Fünf Wiegen und noch eine' which shows the drawing of the Allach candle holder that Capt R posted. The book is called „Wahr' dich Garde, der Bauer kommt!“ and published by Nordland-Verlag.
