        Erich,

The cap and shirt were found together in Robert Wagner's apartment, in Berlin. The cap is named to Hermann Fobke, but the shirt is not his and not named. I do not believe it was Wagner's either. Wagner hosted many of his old Stosstrupp friends and his best friend, from those days was Fobke. Fobke kept a quarters in Wagner's large apartment.

I would love to find out the former ownership of the shirt.

Bob, one fantastic shirt with every important award pictured. As said before, it's a shame that all the Fobke items are not reunited in your collection.

I was a bit hurt when the rest of the Fobke material was sold to Ulrich of England. There were photos of my cap being worn on the head of Fobke's son, while on his mother's lap at a meeting of former Stosstrupp members. I would certainly love to have had that original photo, but alas it was sold before I knew it was available.

              Such is life!

Bob, I understand your frustration, and being a medal guy I would have loved to owned just his Blood Order and GPB pictured in Niemann's book. It' always nice when a grouping can be in one place but It's not to be at this time.
