    Jeff,

When you get the chance to inspect the piece check as to whether it is bronze or spelter (white metal). The photographs are certainly far from perfect and it is difficult to tell which metal it might be. The piece itself appears to be characteristic of the sculptor when compared to his other documented works. As you have pointed out, with only a story of where it came from and without written or photogaphic evidence, value will have to be established strictly on its merits as a statue ca. 1915 - 1930.

    Regards,

    Ed

All good input, thanks Gents. I hope to see it next week.

Anymore incite into Goering and his love of women would be quite interesting

No need to get perskitity military, it was an attempt at mild humor.

I'm reading the book "Third Reich Art" which is very good and all through it are sculptures and paintings of nudes. Those NSDAP boys were pretty kinky!

Would there be photos of the inside of Goering's house to check? I know that's a long shot.

Also, does anyone recall this statue in Schindler's List? I have not seen the movie in a long time.

Thanks again for the interest in this topic. Good to see some old friends posting.
