I'm not saying the other types are fake Stu. In fact the 1943 'Organisationsbuch der NSDAP' shows the patch with a full point as opposed to the flattened point on the ones Toby and I have shown.

I'm just personally happier with the flattened point version. Big pictures of Paul's patch would be useful though I think.

i think there are 2 diff types here the ones with the pointed diamond and the one with the flattened diamond, thats not to say all pointed diamond patches are real as i know they are faked

One of the fakes I used to own was bought at the Great Western Gun Show, from a dealer that claimed it came from Manions, but I did not see any proof of the claim. The patch was most definetly bad.

Maybe a late answer and you've got allready all opinions.

                        But my reply :

                        It's a good one. Congrads.

Hi all, well I was at the san jose calif,,show today and talked with Roger Bender about the HJ patch thats been discussed here,,he feels the one patch that is flat on top of diamond with the bigger eagle is the true original one,,,so he also send there have been repos with brown shirt material sewn on to look like there real,,,,,,so there you have it,,,,,,yes its in the Military Advisor,,the Issue number is Volume 20, number 2.......spring 2009,,hope this helps,,,,so now I have another repo to deal with myself,,,,,,,,Greg

seems a lot of fuss to go to to actually sow fake badges on to pieces of hj shirt to make them look genuine,if this is the case why has it not been done with any other fake insignias????? but who knows, ill keep hold of mine for now im still not convinced takes more than one mans opinon to make it right,
