That one has a silvered finish which is also unique--I've only seen the usual bronze finish in the past.

          Hi Erich,

I believe that Jeff Clark was simply on-selling the silver miniature monument that he bought from Hermanns previously. Looking closely at the marble base of Jeff's bird (on the left) seems to show the same pattern as the Hermanns bird (on the right)- they are just too similar to not be the same item. This piece was previously posted on this forum thread when sold at auction recently as a scarce silver example.

          Cheers,
          Michael

"...why do some have [the BO inscription words] and some don't have it?"

Exactly my question too, Michael! I guess I've never noticed this difference between Putsch Memorial plaques before -- probably because I could never afford to even think about bidding on one!

            Hi Br James,

I note that Max Bucherl's Feldherrnhalle plaque does not have the writing under the monument.....

            Cheers,

Here is a plaque I recently picked up from John @warbooty ... this is the closest that I will ever get to owning a desk piece. Those desk pieces are nice and as stated by many super rare.

These plaques are also rare and hard to find, I consider myself very lucky as last week I also found one like yours with the writing under the monument,

                      Cheers,

The dealer still made a good profit.

Congrats, Michael...you're closer than I am! I've always admired these plaques, as well. Quite a New Year's present...to yourself!

The stylised eagle of the Mahnmal were identical to those two installed in front of the Brown House.

That's a fine photo of the Brown House entrance, Mil -- many thanks to Max History! The two Standards by Schmid-Ehmen that flanked the doors apparently disappeared when the building was struck by bombs; what a pair of artifacts those would be to own! Perhaps they were destroyed?

Cheers, my friend, and stay safe,

Just a heads up John T. Has one of the plaques on his website.
