    Chris,
Be careful, once you catch the Political bug there is no turning back! The two most important badges of the Kampfzeit IMO, were the Coburg Badge and 1st strike Blood Order because they set the stage for the assumption of power 10 short years later.

      Absolutely.

Germany could so easily have been a satelite of the Soviet Union if things had been different in the early 20's.

As for the bug, I've seen the prices of the BO's! I might start with an SA sports badge.

      Cheers,
      Chris.

Not sure but that sounds about right because the last Putsch celebration was in 1944.

Correction, I'm going to say that 1937 was probably the last official anniversary celebration of the Coburg vets. The later get together' s were Kreistags which my poster is from. Can anyone else confirm this?

In 1942 there was a 20 year anniversary celebration. No mention of a Kreistag.

Not that this means anything but Deschler made a new prototype of the Coburg badge in enamal that was never adopted. An example is pictured earlier in this thread and was sold at auction some years ago.

Here are the photos of the Deschler prototype.

I agree and by them thinking about possibly putting an updated version of the badge out it shows how in high regard this award was held by the party.
