This has to be one of the most impressive and important grouping dealing with Coburg that I have ever seen. Thank you so much for adding it to this thread! Best, Erich

Egad! What a fantastic grouping! Was it all together when you found it or did you have to hunt for any of the pieces? Thanks so much for sharing the set.

What makes this hobby and forum so great is the members that share their treasures, such as this fantastic and complete grouping, with the rest of us who can only drool. Anyway, finding it tough to follow this grouping, I thought that I would share a rare little gem. It's a porcelain 15 yr anniversary badge for the Alte Kampfers march on Coburg.

                  Coburg Badge

                  Hi T. Pasqueralle,

Thank you so much for posting that superb group! can you please show us a reverse shot of your Coburg badge? It sems to be the "RZM"-version with a broad pin but I may be mistaken.

                  Many thanks.

It's taken me some time to get this Coburg badge to the thread, apology for
                    the delay.

This is a 2nd edition and the only one I have.

Not the best shots, I'll try to get time to retake these in the outside daylight.

                          Coburg Badge

Thanks for posting the reverse shot.

What is very interesting is the fact that both this badge and Alfred Rosenberg's have citations dated 1932 and yet are marked "RZM". But RZM badges were introduced after 1935 were they not?

The badge can't be put to the name with anything rock solid but many of the first pattern badges broke and were replaced. We have no way to till who of the first group replaced there badge an for what reason. I wouldn't find it strange for any of the men that had first pattern's badges to buy a second even if they didn't need one for the reason of misplacement or a break. There are countless men who were award KC's that had more then one. Further any one that was still very active within the party may have just wanted another copy for another uniform . Many " holes" in the story and a lot of speculation on all of us collectors but that is what makes it worth it.

                              Mr. Pasqueralle,

A truely wonderful group of Coburg memorabilia. I have been looking for the Hitler in Coburg tinnie for years.

                              Congratulations!!!!

Have you noticed the cut in the sword pommel? I have seen that lots of times.
