Erich...I found it interesting that she met Hitler by chance on a tram I think it was in 1920...and the rest is history...

Hi John, the 1st type with the thin pin were the first pieces to be awarded before the badge became an official honor award in 1936 and are thus the most rare.

Stonemint posted this photo in the HJ thread and I think that it belongs over here as well. Note the location of the CB on this HJ Leaders uniform slightly above the GPB.

The name on the attachment is Tippel.

I found Otto Tippel's name on the list of Coburg Badge recipients but not on the BO recipients list. He possibly could have received it at a later date?

Here's a photo showing Franz Schwede Coburg wearing his CB. It's interesting to note that he is not listed in the original list of recipients but with a name like his he had to get one.

Erich, I have an inside tip Coburg was actually providing these awards for a profit to Hitler and his gang.....nothing like starting a new rumor

The photo is most interesting. Would it be possible to get a high resolution of it. The CB he is wearing seems, and I say sams to be similar to the Silver special award. The edge of the badge looks to be bright? The width of the blade together with the position of the arms of the Swastika would be a good determination.

Magnifying this image it appears to be a standard RZM pattern badge; too flat to be an original issue, and with no evidence of enameling.

                      Festina lente!

That would make sense due to it being a later issued award to him.
