I picked this wonderful example of the 2nd pattern up about ten years ago in an auction at the opening bid of $500!!! The military pieces had much competition. The political stuff went wanting for a home. Needless to say, I got very lucky.Attached FilesLast edited by Bob Coleman; 08-25-2009, 07:35 PM.

I am fortunate to have an appropriate tunic to display the badge on. This Totenkopf Thuringen administrator's tunic belonged to Sturmbannfuhrer Walter Bellwidt. As Bellwidt was promoted during the war, his black dress tunic reflects his rank of Sturmhauptfuhrer prior to transfer to 3rd SS Pamzer Division Totenkopf. When I received his file, I discovered he was a recipient of the Coburg badge.Attached Files
