Thank you for the kind words, Gentlemen. For those wanting to acquire a CB, my advise is to get one now!

Patience was key to acquire these pieces.

Super, Mil! I didn't realize there were variations to the early pattern badges. I've seen so few in recent times that it's hard to have the opportunity to compare. I'm glad I bought one when I did, although IMO they're still undervalued (compared to more expensive but easier to find pieces).

Some members have requested for my badges to be posted on the forum. As shown, there are two first pattern badges but they are different variants. One of them is slightly convoluted and thinner (which I believe comes from the first production run), while the other first pattern is flatter and thicker. The third is a second pattern with a thicker pin and stamped as a 189-marked variant. Colour wise, both first patterns are similar just due to the lighting when I photographed them. The second version seems to have a bronze / copper hue. As we know, there is a fourth variant and I don't have the RZM type. Sorry for the delay as I was abroad. Here are the photos.

                      Regards,
                      Mil

                      Mil,
                      Very nice collection.
BTW, any comment to the attached picture shows what looks like a 2nd pattern but without the RMZ mark? is it a 1st pattern but with border pin( replacement )?
                      Thanks.

Chen, I believe it to be an unmarked 2nd pattern badge but would need it in hand to know for sure.

Erich, the CB as you know has always been held in very high regard by us political collectors but it's now coming into its own with others. Undervalued compared to all the many RKs that one sees for sale.

                          That's a very fine collection.
