Erm, how old would any surviving recipients exactly be today...Keep in mind that at the time of the event they were not all that young anymore as well? With a very low age of say 20 at the time someone surviving would today still be almost impossible old!

It's possible had a 15 year old taken part at Coburg in 1922 [and there were people of that age in Munich a year later in 1923]. Coburg rally will be 90 years ago in 2012 hence a 15 year old in 1923 would now be 105 years old.

        Very possible.

Very long odds I would say,not many MEN reach 105 especially with a World War in the middle to survive!
More chance of finding a son or daughter who would themselves be in their 80,s or 90's !

I'm looking for someone with a good eye. Here's a photo from Coburg and I always thought that the guy on the far left was Ulrich Graf but in reality it may be Oscar Koerner who died in the Putsch and was one of the 16 Martyrs. He does look a lot like the photo of Koerner in this official photo. Any thoughts?

I forgot to mention that Koerner is 2nd from the right wearing the Alpine style hat in the official Martyr photo.

Sure enough, that's Oskar at the far left. Description below the picture here says it, too. http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oskar_K%C3%B6rner

Came across the same pic in the Feste Coburg by coincidence yesterday night and I agree that it is Koerner - he is easily recognizable and was obviously a man not to fool around with like these early members.

Thanks guys, I agree. I wonder how many of the fallen of the 9th of November participated in the Battle of Coburg? My guess is more than a few!

Since mostly all came from München to Coburg I think at least 50% of them, if not more.

Here's one more interesting photo from Coburg showing the Old Guard. It looks like Koerner is in the last row left side wearing the white raincoat. the guys in front with the sticks look ready to do battle with the Reds!

Rosenberg is no. '2'...who are '3' and '4', and where is no. '1'?
The guy next to '3' is known, but forgotten by me!

                              Here are two guesses:
Could the person to the immediate right of #3 be Andreas Bauriedl?
Could the fifth head from the left in the back row be Anton Drexler...does look a bit young but...?

We're probably the last generation to have the chance ever to interview those men if they were alive.
