    Here it is...but what is it?

    Hi guys,

    This object is about the size of the palm of your hand. It's metal with a gold color wash or paint of some sort on it. Any idea what it is?

        Stu,
        Yours is a cast copy, judging by its appearance. These plaques are very sharp and clear and have a finished reverse. I suspect yours is a casting of an original.

            The Volkssozialistische Selbsthilfe started in August 1933 in Palatine (Gauleiter Josef Bürckle) and the idea was that every inhabitant (specially the clerks) of Palatine should spent a certain sum of money every month for social projects so as for building homes.
