I know I am late to this post but....the washing of armbands etc. in modern detergents can and will make some material glow. I tried this on an armband. Before there was no glow. After, there was a little glow but very splotchy. The blacklight test is never 100%. I am sure many a good deal was had due to the blacklight fallacy. As for this armband...I do not like it at all. Consruction is very crude. I never liked this type of ribbon either. Hope you did recieve a refund for this before your time ran out. There are plenty of real ones out there so get yourself another one. Good luck.
