Give a man an opinion and you feed him for a day,
teach a man to use the "search" function on the WAF and you feed him for a lifetime.

I have an absolutely original armband that came with a lot from a vet and the white thread glows. The blacklight test is not a solid indicator of pre- or post-1945 manufacture.

          armband pics

Here are a couple pictures of the armband w/out blacklight. I'm just not comfortable with the idea that washing will make it glow, if that were the case the red field would glow a little too don't you think. besides that this armband still looks dirty.

I would rather have a more standard example. This one doesn't give me a good feeling.

Yes, much too sloppy to feel comfortable with.

Yea i made up my mind to return the armband, i have 3 more days to do so . I have heard some say originals do glow, well maybe so but i'll have a hard time believing it with construction like this. It will be in the mail today w/ delivery confermation so he cannot say he never got it back.
Hey do any of you know if the refund through Paypal will be for the full amount or will it be minus paypal's fee. Never had to get a refund through Paypal.

                            Thanks for you opnions.

Just to bring closure to the post. A well known dealer contacted me and said that some of the late original vet buy armbands glowed and to look at the construction too. So this could very well be original but just don't like the crudeness and never will be comfortable with it. It might be what someone will not mind but not for me, i must admit the disc material and weave looked and felt like it was the real thing, even the swas material. The seller replied pretty quick to my email and has no problem doing a refund and seems like a good guy.

                              Thanks Everyone !
