The Germans did indeed make wrap around signs...I have had vet pickup wrap around signs...one of my favorite is in Wittmann's SS book..it is the SS newspaper sign....I have owned two and traded that exact example to my friend who is credited in the photo as owning the beauty....to make such a blanket statement about signs puzzles me...anyway stick a fork in me I am done.

well I know these are no good, and please show some wrap around "aluminium" signs made in WW2 like this please, this medal is wrong and the lithigraph was not used like this in the TR era. "I haven't seen one at-least"..

      so please show..

        Sign

Painted metal, ESPECIALLY on such a "weathered" old sign like the example shown, should have areas under the paint that are blistered from oxidation or rust. All the "supposed" weather damage on the back of the "aged" sign, and still no blistering. What is all the black stuff on the front? Aging is something that is hard to duplicate successfully. The 3 signs shown don't look like the same sign that had different levels of exposure to elements. They look like 3 signs that were purposely aged differently. I know...the truth is sometimes painful. I wanted to like this sign...I REALLY did! Sell it to someone you really dislike, or hang it in your bedroom. In my opinion, it's a VERY NICE reproduction.

I will stay back and let others do as they want, but I would not own one of these signs, to many others have said put to much of a doubt on them.

I have even taken one that was at a show and walked it over to one of the sign sellers. (those who sell reproduction Gasoline or Harley Signs) I then had a nice conversation with the seller and he walked me through the sign and had even knew the company who made them. So If you like them buy them. Also I have picked up items from Hermann Historica and they have turned out to be wrong, so you can't count on them either. But I was told these were made about 13 years ago, if someone can find one on a book or an Auction House before then please show when these were out.

          thanks greg koepp
