The thread discussion immediately prior to your posting concerned the Golden Party Badge. I, and perhaps others had assumed that's what you were speaking of, hence my inability to find the "Hitler" badge.

Here's an addendum to this fascinating thread. I got my M.A. at the University of Massachusetts, studying under the late Dr. Harold J. Gordon, Jr. Jack's book on the Putsch ("Hitler and the Beer Hall Putsch" is still the best treatment of the subject and should be required reading for all those interested in it).

When Jack was doing research in Munich he met and got to know Maurice. At one point during an interview, Maurice got up, left the room, and came back with a very luxurious copy of "Mein Kampf", with a two page Widmung from Hitler. He seemed very proud of it. Has this copy surfaced somewhere? It wouldn't appear to be the one posted earlier in this thread...

Never came across this one. Usually Hitler's dedications were a couple lines max.
