    A Very Nice Example. Unfortunately, The SHAEF List Of S A Units Does Not Have Any Information On The Motor Sturms, As They Were Disbanded Early And Absorbed In To The N S K K . I Have Also Discovered That The S A Motor Standarte Numbers Do Not Always Correspond To Their N S K K Conterparts. I Am Sure Some Early Period S A Manuals Could Unravel This Mystery. It Is Evident That The Sturmfahne Were Preserved And Possibly Paraded As Tradition Flags.

                      HERE IS A VERY EARLY STURMFAHNE FOR WHAT WAS ORIGINALLY FOR A RESERVE UNIT. STANDARTE 16 WAS STATIONED IN COLOGNE AT MAASTRICHTERSTR. 36. ACROSS THE BOTTOM OF THE FLAGE STITCHED IN RED THREAD MATCING THE FLAG FIELD ARE THE NAME OF THE FIRST TWO COMMANDERS OF THE STURM. OF INTEREST AFTER RESEARCH IS THE FACT THAT THE FIRST COMMANDER WAS EVENTUALLY KICKED OUT OF THE S A AND THE PARTY FOR BRINING FALSE ACCUSATIONS AGAINST ANOTHER S A OFFICER. THE SECOND COMMANDR EVENTUALLY ATTAINED THE RANK OF STANDARTENFUHRER AND COMMANDED STANDARTE 16.
