    Early NSDAP Party badge

    Hi everyone!

I would like to know your opinions on this Ges. Gesch marked party badge. I think it’s original, but given the vast amount of pre-RZM badge variations, I’m at a loss when determining their authenticity unless there are big red flags. Thank you in advance!

Thanks for your feedback. What are the signs for this one?

The badge is okay, but the needle seems to be replaced because its plate is smaller than the circle.

Thank you for your reply! The needle also looked replaced to me.

Has anyone ever seen another badge like this one?

I tried to take a better shot, it's pretty hard to photograph these small badges! I hope it's good enough.

Initially, to me it looked like a morigi fake, but soon I noticed the many differences. Morigi fakes have the letters way more spaced out. Letter O's are oval, letter S are uneven and the C is more open than in mine. Also, they are RZM and Ges. Gesch. marked.

Here's a morigi fake for reference:

Ok guys, I found an identical one to mine that was once for sale at eagle relics. It shows what the original pin attachment should have been like.

Any further opinions on these type of badges will be much appreciated!

                    Update

Maker is Karl Pfohl. Found a match with a ground dug example in the Party Badge database sticky (post #1167)

They were later asignated RZM licence (31) but was revoked in 1935.

                    Regards,
                    MG.

Ok, buddy. Pebbling is not the same, but the font is. And so is the font for the GES. GESCH mark. What red flags can you see that I don't?

This type of badge has been mentioned several times in the party badge sticky, and no one ever seemed to call into question. I'm so confused!

I would give it the benifit of the doubt.
