Got one that stumps me, I purchased this shoulder board thinking it was Sudetenland material but dealer had it mislabeled. Color of base is a grey and piping is grey/black, keep in mind that piping color is not white.

Would it not be for SA Gruppe Weichsel?

                Gray strap

You should hang on to it until it’s positively identified. You might find yourself kicking your own butt.

                      sa tabs

just a quick footnote on the Westfalen reserve tab. It seems the use of pips on the unit side tab was used exclusively by this Gruppe. I had a similar tab for Westfalen with a pip on the unit side that had been there a long time. never seen it referenced.

a pip should not be there, never! There is no regulation that mentions this!

agreed. i have never seen or heard of any regulation that addresses this. but i have seen one other tab with this pip on it. at this point there is no accounting for this. but it IS SA and if you read all the warnings in the SA-Verordnungsblatt about what is and is not allowed for uniforms it is clear that different SA groups took uniforms into their own hands.

The pip is postioned to make it interesting and rare and brings more money! You can convince me by showing a photograph where it is worn.

                                SA pip

I too would rather have a period photo. Was hoping you had some mention of it. I have never seen one.
