I also wondered if local phone directories and district newsletters could be more sources for names and information.

Names are included in the SA-Führerbefehle (not in adress-lists or the Verordnungsblatt der SA),
but note not all ranks were always mentioned to have been promoted. District newsletters is a
possibility.
