Thanks Mike. Great to know they also were at France. Now I am looking if they even were in my country, the Netherlands.

Some great material on this thread, thanks to the contributors!

I must say, the HZB is a rather interesting subject.

Also - all political aspects aside - planning, building and launching a unit of this nature, size and quality in such a short period of time (and with a lot of custom-made vehicles and equipment at that) was a truly impressive achievement.

I agree. Both special columns are of great interest in the years 1933/1934-1943/1944.
Many do not know much about them, but the facts are overwhelming: SA, NSKK, Propagandaleitung,
Reichsschatzmeister up to OKH in early war.

My old research from the years 1996/1997 came out of the drawers again.

It is a plan. I will combine my material and start writing about it. A smaller booklet is planned to be the result.

Every viewer/reader of this thread is asked if he is willing to cooperate. If so, please contact me by PM and we possibly may come together!
When it will be published is not known yet, as this depends on how much work it is gonna be. But if and having cooperated, a free sample of
printed result is anyway on the list.

Have seen where it was autioned. I think it is largely as the booklet: Der Beamten-Hilfszug Bayern, along with a prospect from Magirus (12 pages in Din A3).

This would be very exciting. Would you do it in English or German? I'd be interested in a copy regardless

The plan is in German as this is what my German publisher would like to have.
But it is not decided yet. The start is anyway in German as I am best in that
and it is easier, as I cann follow the old publications.
I am sorting out now hundreds of newspapers for new information or to check
                        old information.

This booklet/flyer is what I am looking for. A copy would be sufficient.
Who knows who did buy it from a German auction?

most are to be found in volume 4, I think. Or in 3, could be.

Work about HZB and RAZ is in progress. Text is done (30 pages), now I
am sorting out and cataloging the available photos (over 250).
Furthermore I am waiting for extra photos from various German archives.
Various persons did send me material or were of help otherwise. Thanks!

All was done and ready for 90%, then I had to hold as the one or the other
concern did not give me (yet) the permisison to use photos. This is taking
now for four weeks or so! Have no idea what will happen! My fingers are
                                crossed.
