Martin Bormann's Organisationsbuch der NSDAP – in leather – numbered

Dear friends,

Here are a few pictures of a very special Organisationsbuch.

This one is a 1937 edition in leather – golden embossing - and is numbered : 0004 (!)

It was picked up in Martin Bormann's House at Obersalzberg by a French officer in 1945 and sold to a friend of mine by his son.

Inside is a stamp (please don't ask for more details of the stamp) :

After visiting this website, you'll understand why my book is not in perfect shape ! Bombs, fire, wind and rain have done their jobs !

I think such a book with such a story is very rare ?

No way!!!!

In 1927, Bormann joined the National Socialist German Workers Party (Nazi Party; NSDAP). His membership number was 60,508. He joined the Schutzstaffel (SS) on 1 January 1937 with number 278,267. By special order of Heinrich Himmler in 1938, Bormann was granted SS number 555 to reflect his Alter Kämpfer (Old Fighter) status.

GPB is superb. Same origine same condition !

I have noticed that until the 3rd edition of 1937, the head is turned to the left and after (4th and so on), to the right.

Always interested by nice gorgets.
