      period or not it is outstanding.
      I also think the price is ok even if post war the work in that .must be a hundred hours or so .beautiful.

            James,

            That eagle is spectacular and is displayed at the West Point museum. A little excerpt from West Points webiste - It was captured from the 107 German Infantry Regiment Idar - Oberstein, Germany in March, 1945. It was given to the West Point Museum by General George S. Patton and the officers and men of the Third US Army.

            There was one almost identical to it for sale on e-stand a couple years back...ask was $7000.

              Thanks for the details, Mike. It's at West Point, eh? Well, my last visit to The Point was probably at least 30 years ago, so memory fades...! Thanks again; perhaps I'll get up that way again sometime; I hope so!

                  Field trip to West Point!! The last time I was there was about 40 years ago. I don't remember any of it.

                  That piece is a work of art. I can't imagine how many hours were put into that project.
