Mountain rescue service badges.

German mountain rescue service badges are not often seen in collections, this topic is almost unexplored. But some of this badges are really fashinating, so I decided to make a reference thread of them, as I collect them.
I am sure that more examples exist than I can show in this thread, so it would be great if you can show what you have in this collection regarding this topic.
I will focus only on pre-1945 badges in this thead.
I will start with the earliest montain rescue service badge of DuOeAV. This badges are very rare. I have 2 types of this badge: German-made and Austrian-made.

Next is later (after 1938) DAV rettungsdienst badge - it is very rare too. This is not my badge - from collection of my friend.

Next come Bergwacht badges. Generally there are two different types of pre-1945 BW badges I have met:
Sanitaets u. Rettungsdienst and just Rettungsdienst
They are both rare and IMO Sanitaets is little bit rare than just Rettungsdienst.
Here are both types of this badges, the both belonged to Fritz Jochum - leader of Chiemgau BW department.

I have seen two variations of Rettungsdienst type:
1) non-magnetic badges - the upper and lower right on the photo.
2) badges, made from iron (magnetic) - lower left in the photo

Regarding Sanitaets u.Rettungsdienst type - I have also seen two variations:
1) produced by A. Moser - also unmarked variations of this maker exist
2) unknown maker badges ( more rare)

And one more for today - Bergwacht leader badge - It belonged to Fritz Jochum - leader of Chiemgau BW department. It is extremely rare. I've never seen another example of this badge.

Very interesting thread! I don't recall seeing any of the earlier badges before, just the BW's so I find this fascinating and I appreciate your time and willingness to share! Below are a few threads from the past.

There is extremely little information about this subject in the web. Here are some examples of such badges in wear.
Many of the bergwachsmen later became the elite of gebirgsjaeger units. Like Toni Schels who also was aheeresbergfuehrer.
