KRIPO DISC Please help

Dear Forum Members,

I would very much appreciate if I can get help on this KRIPO Disc. Is this an authentic wartime disc?? It is supposed to be a de-nazified disc for use by KRIPO personnel immediately after the war during the occupation period. Many thanks in advance to everyone for their most valued opinion.

Yes these continued in use until a new design was put into place.

An interesting variation on the de-Nazified Kripo discs used in the post-war period. Is anyone aware of the use of the discs in any zone other than the British?

Most de-Nazified examples I have seen have the entire swaz and wreath removed. This is a fine example of the discs used in the occupied British zone.

It was my disk at one time , the chain is a reproduction and it was sold with don bibles letter of authenticity

Can you just clarify your previous comment regarding Don's authorisation just so as people don't come to the wrong conclusion. TVM.

When it was sold to Ron wolin a while back it had a letter of authenticty so I am surprised the present owner does not have the letter to go with

Perhaps SiPo is asking you to clarify your statement that the chain is reproduction and that Don provided a letter of authenticity? For the Disc, chain or Disc and chain.

I didn't realize that the watch chain was standardized so that it could be reproduced. Or did you mean that it was a modern watch chain?
