Kyle, notice that your original example is marked with the authority stamp of a Landrat- a county supervisor who would have authority over the Landwacht of his county. Ron's Stadtwacht armband is stamped with a Polizeiprasident Mannheim stamp as it should be as the Stadtwacht assisted the Schupo (green stripes).
Excellent points made, I agree 100%.Interested in the Gendarmerie - Schutzpolizei - Gemeinden - Feuerschutzpolizei - Wasserschutzpolizei - Etc. Looking For Anything Polizei Related!

I don't know police structure, but what I get out of it is that a landwacht armband shouldn't have a police president stamp? Only a stamp that mentions "Landrat"?
Also, the green stripes make these Schupo related? I've wondered for a while what these green stripes meant if that's what you mean.

Learn some basic organizational facts if you are going to collect police armbands. Stadtwacht is city guard/hilfspolizei; Landwacht is county guard/hilfspolizei. in a simplistic explanation, a Polizeiprasident ran the city police force and a Landrat ran the county police organizations.
While I have not found any directive specifically mentioning green stripes on Stadtwacht armbands and in fact have a Stadtwacht one without green, the association with the Schupo is obvious to me.

I never had a reason to go in dept into the police, as I do not collect police specifically. So I feel there was no reason to go deep into polizei structure like this.
Thanks for the possible relation. I have seen landwacht with a pinkish color stripe as well. Any possible idea as to what they would designate?
