Why don't these 'turn up' like, say a U-Boat badge with diamonds (common) where enough of them abound to A. cover the costs of manufacture and some kind of profit margin and B. one might think they would, at least be as commonly seen as the aforementioned fake diamond U-Boats? 4th Reich, without a doubt.

All the Swastikas seem to be cutouts of sorts, tacked in almost as an after thought. Otherwise well constructed, but crap nonetheless.

Well, Klaus is a forum sponsor and it's good that he should show items he's not sure about or needs more info on. I personally wouldn't touch these particular items with a barge pole, but as long as it's made clear that they are not guaranteed to have been made during the TR era then I guess it's up to the buyers to decide.

Yes, but why list them for auction before he got any answers here? Was he ever interesting in answers? I asked him to check if it was a original mc and no answer. He have it in hand so he can check it quickly.

If it is a original silver mc then it is very interesting since the extra silver lines seems to have been made same time as the cross.

But some say that many of the mother crosses we call original is in fact post war made to please the allied hunger for them. So maybe this is one of them and the maker went a little nuts and made a SS-mc with swords to sell at a premium price to the allied solders after the war.

Also interesting that the ribbons is "period time ribbons". By who... For what...

But like I said, its not my problem, I am out.

Perhaps you stick your neck out, but you don´t risk it in any way, IMO.

A mix of fake and fantasy small Third Reich badges IMHO, placed onto carnival and sonsitige Orden from Eastern Europe. It`s common practice. Even a few smaller badges known with this goofy marriage, created to make collectors say exactly what you can read on this thread, from a few.

It`s just sad, thats what it is. Utter rubbish in 2015... utter nonsense.

Klaus, you write on each sale:
A fine high quality medal with a period time ribbon
Can you support your claims that the ribbons are period?

The way you have described these, is atypical of the way in which fake stuff is pimped out to make buyers believe it "could" be real.
From the Estate of so n so... Period ribbons.. But.... i cant guarantee..right at the end.

Why not just leave it at you cant guarantee? Why the need for the extra`s?
And why the need to say the ribbons are period?

I agree that the ribbons are doubtful as they cannot be identified, and cannot therefore be described as period. Also, 100 euro each as a starting price? I would have thought 10 euro would be about right.

edit - I contacted WAF member Tom B about these items. He is currently unwell and is unable to take part on the board for the time being. He has many years experience and agrees that they are post war fantasy, and has himself seen one or two of them before.
