While entertaining myself with the eye candy police clamshell listed at Lakesidetrader.com, I also noticed two police items newly listed that I immediately noticed some concerns with. So I contacted Paul who was more than kind enough to entertain my comments and also allowed me permission to post links to photos to the items (temporarily removed from sale) here for open discussion.
First Up is a Schutzpolizei tunic which I believe is an original NCO grade tunic that appears to be an improperly restored. My observations...

Second is a Gendarmerie Visor that also appears to be restored. Does anyone recognize the name, seems like I've seen this posted before?? Anyhow, my concerns...

Please add your thoughts on both. Thank you!

- Collar tabs, non regulation TR police tabs.
- Sleeve eagle is an officer grade machine woven example. Also note the outline on the sleeve of a prior oval insignia to the upper left of this one. Proper would be a green embroidered example with name, depending on date.
- Rank straps have black cords associated for SD, although the light green backing and new look make me wonder if they are the reproduced SD straps.

- Note the grey band with bead typical of postwar visors. Also note that the shield indicates the Stirndruckfrei which is not present and this is not a typical Kupper brown band.
- Also note the different shade of green by the band than the rest of the visor.
- Torn up interior that appears re-stitched
