This Schupo summer feldbluse variant sure does belong here. I remember this one, it's bumped around a little in various collections. From what I remember is that this one has indication of prior shoulder rank straps loops although removed, correct?

Hi, yes that's right the schlaufen removed (supposed wartime regulation). This tunic is for a far term project I have yet to further pursue for a complete ensemble. Thanks for your commentary.

Not having the regulation in hand, I wonder about that point of removing the rank strap since the Oktober 1943 regulation for Feldbluse Neuer Art was referenced with this tunic before. Also one of the previous owners found a picture of a policeman w/o shoulder straps in a feldbluse cut (wool or light weight?), standing with two others in what appears to be the wool feldbluse...one was a low ranking Unterwachtmeister (?) receiving an award from the other. There could be other circumstances behind that photo w/o rank straps on one...I think. But I wouldn't mind hearing from one of a couple members here that I know have the regulations and if there is mention of dropping the rank from the summer tunic.

What a great looking admin police tunic I looked but I don't think a thread has been started specifically on the Verwaltungspolizei unifroms. Might be due to uncommon to find and limited collecting interests.

Schutzpolizeimeister Feldbluse

Last week bought this Feldbluse of a Schutzpolizeimeister, its a late war piece 1944. A couple of questions - comparing it with others on the thread, I notice its one of the few without brown French cuffs and has one short vent without buttons, against most of the thread jackets having brown cuffs and two long tailored vents with 4 buttons. Is this difference because mine is a feldbluse and the others are parade pieces ? or was the design changed on the later jackets ? Inside the jacket are a number of stamps - maker - R. Bartuner, Triest 4 and owner stamp - Eigentum - Kosisn - Leih Anstalt, Lambert - Hofer - Wien, IV Norgau**** 18

Do members have any information on these questions or any observations on the Feldbluse in general. (sorry the jacket is askew on the hanger).
